Embellished Hoops Project
This is a very simple and fast project for adding beads to hoop earrings. All you need are beadable hoops, beads and wire. These can be as simple or embellished as you like. For variations, add flower-shaped beads or dangles.
Materials:
Tools:
- 4 mm Czech crystal beads, Blue AB Frost
- Silver-plated beadable hoops
- 28 gauge wire, about 1 ft
Tools:
- Wire Cutters
- Bent Nose Pliers
Step 1: Slide a bead onto the wire leaving a space of about 1/2 inch. Twist the wire 2-3 times and trim any excess. Slide the wire through the first loop on the hoop.
Step 2: Bring the wire up through the next loop, add a bead and pass it back through the same loop. The bead will rest on top of the loop.
Step 3: Continue adding beads. When you add the last one, wrap the wire 3-4 times underneath the bead and trim.
Tip: Make sure that both earrings are mirror images, if you bead them in the same direction, one will be backwards when you wear it.
