Materials:
- Size 12 Sapphire Blue seed beads
- Size 11 Clear seed Beads
- 4mm Czech Fire Polished Crystals, Crystal AB, 7 beads
- 8mm Czech Fire Polished Crystals, Crystal AB, 3 beads
- 20 LB Bead Weaving thread in Black, about 2 yards
- Nylon Beading thread in White, about 1 yard
- Needle
Step 1: Thread a needle onto the black thread. Leave a 6 inch tail of thread and string on a stop bead.
Step 2: Begin Peyote Stitch. String on 10 blue seed beads and pass the needle through the 5th and 6th beads from the end. Adjust the beads if necessary so that they look like the picture. String on 2 more beads and pass through the last two beads.
Step 3: Add 2 seed beads and pass through the last beads added. Add another 2 beads and pass through the last 2 beads on the row (not shown). Continue working in peyote stitch until the bracelet is as long as you like.
Step 4: Once you reach the end, string on 12 seed beads and pass through the last 2 seed beads on the band. Reinforce the loop by passing it through it again. Weave to the other side of the band and repeat so that you have 2 loops. Secure the excess thread and trim.
Step 5: Remove the stop bead. Using the tail of thread at the other end of the bracelet, string on 2 blue seed beads, an 8mm crystal and 1 blue seed bead. Pass the needle through the crystal bead and 1 seed bead. Add another seed bead and pass the needle back through the peyote stitch band. Weave to the other side of the band and repeat. Secure the excess thread and trim.
Step 6: Make the star. Thread the white beading thread and string on an 8mm crystal. Leave a 2-inch tail on one end and make a square knot with the tail and the rest of the thread. The thread should wind around the outside of the bead. Pass the needle through the bead so that thread winds around the other half of the bead.
Step 7: Work brick stitch around the bead. String on 2 clear seed beads. Pass the needle underneath the thread and up through the 2nd bead from the bottom up.
Step 8: Add another clear seed bead. Pass the needle underneath the thread and up through the bead. Repeat until there are a total of 14 beads.
Step 9: Once there are 14 beads, pass the needle through the 1rst bead from the top down. Pass the needle under the thread and back up the same bead.
Step 10: String on 1 clear seed bead, 1 4mm crystal, and 1 seed bead.
Step 11: Pass the needle back through the 4mm crystal bead and add another seed bead. Pass the needle through the next brick-stitch seed bead.
Step 12: Pass the needle through the following brick-stitched seed bead from the bottom up and repeat steps 10-11 until you reach the end. Weave the needle through the beads until you reach the 2-inch tail and make a knot. Trim the thread.
Step 13: Sew the star onto the side of the band that has the loops. Secure the thread and trim.
